BLACK BAG BOOKS is a program that seeks to connect all ages of readers with incredible books and movies.

 

We work with donations from local libraries to fill canvas tote bags with fantastic books and layered, complex movies. We believe that a readable, relevant, and stylistically unique work that can create interest, maintain it, and reward it is a special thing that can help someone stay curious about the world and keep growing.

From children's book to YA literature to adult novels and nonfiction--the one rule is that the book is a standout read, the movie an outstanding viewing experience.

If the bag works, the material can become a permanent part of someone's personal library. If not, we can switch out bags for another try....
