Goldentree
GOLDENTREE is a Varsity Mentors platform that exists to cultivate the love of reading in young people and to encourage first-time authors and book illustrators. We are also interested in exploring the overlap of film production and literacy. At this point, Goldentree's branches (pun intended!) are as follows:

Fantastic Picture Books
(a Goldentree subsidiary)
We believe in the power of reading. Especially lifelong reading.

But this means that at the beginning of a future reader's life, someone close needs to select good picture books. A picture book with stunning art and a captivating story can plant the seeds of narrative thinking and layered understanding.

Over the last ten years, we have scoured thousands of picture books looking for ones that combine great art with playful, interesting stories. Our list contains about 200 titles, and you may be surprised at which books aren't on it, and which are! Our only true guide was, As an adult, do I want to read this again?

Let's Read Together!
(a Goldentree subsidiary)
With the Let's Read Together! program, Goldentree pairs an advanced reader with a developing reader so that both can read a book together (usually one recommended by the advanced reader). Either through a remote session or a land meeting, the two readers discuss the book together, often forming a relationship bond that can help younger readers as they grow in literacy.

Goldentree Children's
(a Goldentree subsidiary)
Goldentree Children's is an actual imprint we use to publish material we decide to keep as our own. As the name suggests, these are primarily printed children's books and short film readings of children's books.

The Goldentree Chronicle
(a Goldentree subsidiary)
The Goldentree Chronicle is a news sheet that Varsity Mentors distributes to churches, home-school groups, and youth organizations. The sheet provides information about gap-year opportunities, remote-training for young workers, and self-improvement classes and units from various education organizations and faculty groups.

The news sheet is 100% family friendly and is distributed free of charge. To receive The Goldentree Chronicle, please sent an email to:
