gridball
GRIDBALL is a paper game based on American football. In Gridball, twelve teams are divided into two conferences, and regular play leads into a playoff with the two conference champs heading to that season's Gridbowl.

There are stats to be recorded, football cards to be traded, sports articles to be written, and Gridcoins to be earned and spent.

But to do all this, boys and girls in primary school will have to hone up on basic arithmetic, because all plays are determined by adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.

Gridball is complicated but immensely rewarding. It takes a while to learn (our motto for Gridball Statisticians is "Not for the Faint of Heart"), but once learned it can provide immediate benefit in basic math acuity and lifelong fun for adults who want to be kids again . . . at least for a while!
